Weight of the World
Weight of the World
This project explores burden, responsibility, and collective weight through a minimal, monochrome composition. A globe-like form rests in an outstretched hand, merging the human body with the symbol of the world itself.
The distressed textures and soft tonal transitions suggest erosion and fatigue, while the absence of colour removes distraction, focusing attention on form and meaning. The hand acts as both support and restraint, implying care, pressure, and obligation at the same time.
Rather than presenting a literal narrative, the image functions as a visual metaphor for emotional and mental load, inviting the viewer to reflect on what is carried, shared, or endured.
