Distorted Presence
Distorted Presence
This project explores underground music culture and youth identity through raw, high-contrast imagery and distressed typography. The composition blends photographic elements with aggressive textures, halftone noise, and glitch-like distortion to create a sense of chaos and immediacy.
The visual language draws from punk, experimental hip-hop, and DIY poster culture, where imperfection and roughness become part of the message. Heavy blacks, broken reds, and fragmented forms reflect themes of rebellion, intensity, and emotional pressure.
Rather than aiming for polish, the work embraces disruption and grit, capturing the energy of live performance and the visual noise of contemporary underground scenes.
