Mask Behaviour
Mask Behaviour
This project explores performance, identity, and emotional exhaustion through a collage-based visual language. Classical sculpture is recontextualised with modern graphic elements, fragmented typography, and symbolic objects, creating tension between timeless form and contemporary expression.
The angel figure suggests purity and stillness, while the mask and disembodied hand introduce themes of concealment, control, and performative identity. Distressed textures and aggressive colour treatments disrupt the image, reinforcing a sense of inner conflict and emotional fatigue.
By combining historical references with raw graphic interventions, the work reflects on how identity can become a role — repeated, worn, and detached from authenticity.
